This proposal rehabilitates green islands nestled between traffic lanes—overlooked opportunities for urban landscape enhancement. The design employs dense drifts of perennials and ornamental grasses arranged in unified masses, paired for textural and chromatic contrast. Existing vegetation is preserved and improved, and desire paths worn by foot traffic formalize into intentional circulation. The intervention converts neglected remnants into legible, low-maintenance greenspace.
