This project reimagines Năvodari's main boulevard as a blue-green infrastructure corridor using exclusively native plant species. The design prioritizes biodiversity enhancement and environmental remediation through dense vegetation zones that provide ground shading, mitigate urban heat island effects, filter air naturally, and reinforce soil stability. Vertically structured plantings improve air quality, while increased soil permeability from turf and groundcovers reduces flooding and stormwater runoff. Given the area's landslide susceptibility, vegetation plays a crucial stabilization role—the plan includes strategic clearing phases and slope treatment where space allows. Beyond its ecological functions, the boulevard emerges as a valued social and tourist amenity: an inviting pedestrian promenade and signature green space for the resort community.
